Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Denver, Colorado.
Duties:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines (Argo CD/CI experience preferred)
- Contribute to test automation across back-office applications and device activation workflows (DHCP, DNS, config management)
- Perform Linux system administration, troubleshoot device activation issues, and manage BAU tickets in Jira (e.g., devices not coming online)
- Work with internal frameworks and tools to validate software and hardware deployments
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to understand requirements, design tests, and deliver robust solutions
- Participate in plans, designs, and deployments of large-scale systems
- Monitor and analyze logs (basic Splunk usage; learning on the job is expected) and diagnose failures in production or lab environments
- Leverage AI and modern coding practices to improve test coverage and automation workflows
- Understand and implement networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, basic routing) and device activation stacks
- Maintain and improve knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker/Helm deployments in a Linux-centric environment
Desired Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or test automation
- Solid scripting skills and experience with automation (Python and/or Java-based tooling)
- Working knowledge of Jira for ticket management and workflow tracking
- Experience with CI/CD concepts and automation pipelines; familiarity with Argo CD/Argo Workflows is a plus
- Linux administration experience in a production-like environment (100% Linux shop preferred)
- Experience with or willingness to learn Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm deployments
- Java development experience or strong Java knowledge, with the ability to understand and work with Fame framework-based applications
- Experience with AI-assisted coding, test generation, or AI-driven testing approaches
- Experience with Splunk or other log-analysis tools; willingness to learn more

The approximate pay range for this position starting at $100,000+. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
