System Integration Engineer (RDK-B)

Job Description: Seeking a highly analytical Triage Engineer with deep expertise in RDK-B to join our engineering team. This role is designed for experienced software engineers who are passionate about defect analysis, root cause troubleshooting, and technical problem solving. This position is in diagnosing complex system failures and untangling technical bottlenecks than in writing new feature code.


Department/Project Description:


  • Core Skill: Strong, hands-on experience with RDK-B (Reference Design Kit for Broadband) is mandatory.
  • Experience: A few years of software engineering background with a proven track record in complex system environments.
  • Mindset: A strong preference for troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving over traditional software development.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to navigate complex codebases and system architectures to isolate issues.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Defect Analysis & Reproduction: Perform deep-dive analysis on reported defects, recreating complex system issues to understand their underlying triggers.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and diagnose critical bugs within RDK-B environments, utilizing logs, traces, and system diagnostics to identify root causes.
  • Technical Investigation: Analyze software bugs, configuration issues, or if any environmental constraints.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with core development and engineering teams to provide detailed technical findings, ensuring developers have the precise information needed to implement effective fixes.
  • Problem Solving: Act as the technical bridge between issue identification and resolution, ensuring high-quality maintenance of the RDK-B platform.

Education:


  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.


GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Philadelphia, PA and the salary range will be $110,000/yr to $120,000/yr and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
