Senior System Engineer (Security Operations – Identity/IAM)
Location: Plano, TX or McLean, VA Hybrid
Duration: 12 months
We are looking for a Senior System Engineer with strong experience in Security Operations and Identity/IAM to support a complex enterprise environment spanning on-prem and cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and strengthen security posture across enterprise Active Directory and SSO environments (hybrid setup)
- Act as an Active Directory SME (Domain Controllers, GPO, Sites & Services, automation, user/group management)
- Work with AD management and security tools (Quest or Semperis – ARS, Change Auditor, Password Manager, AD Recovery Manager)
- Manage and support Radiant Logic VDS and Global Sync
- Handle enterprise cloud infrastructure, primarily AWS
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity incidents
- Build automation using scripting, pipelines, and serverless platforms
- Create architecture, design, and implementation documentation
- Identify improvements in authentication services and drive optimization
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 4+ years in cybersecurity or IT
- 1+ year experience with Active Directory and AWS
- 1+ year with Quest or Semperis tools
- 1+ year with Radiant Logic VDS and Global Sync
- 1+ year with cloud infrastructure management
- Strong expertise in AD Domain Services (replication, GPO, domain management, DC setup, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years securing and managing enterprise Active Directory
- 5+ years with Quest or Semperis tools
- 5+ years with Radiant Logic VDS and Global Sync
- 5+ years with AWS (EC2, CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, YAML, etc.)
- Experience with Splunk, New Relic, and identity security/compliance frameworks (NIST, governance policies)
- Experience with AWS and Azure
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, Git
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or MS SC-300 are a plus
