Exciting In-House Opportunity - SVP, Commercial Counsel - Technology Transactions & Strategic Partnerships
We are recruiting on behalf of a global, publicly traded data analytics and AI company with over 35,000 professionals across four continents. This company partners with leading organizations across financial services, healthcare, insurance, and other industries to drive digital transformation through advanced analytics and intelligent automation.
This is a high-impact, senior in-house role sitting within the General Counsel's office. The right candidate will serve as a trusted legal advisor across a broad range of commercial matters, from complex technology transactions to enterprise partnerships, with visibility across the business and a seat at the table on strategic initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
On the technology transactions side, you will review, draft, negotiate, and close a wide range of agreements including software licensing, SaaS, hosting, and technology services contracts supporting the company's platform businesses. You'll serve as the day-to-day legal point of contact on contractual queries and interpretation, collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, sales, operations, and technology, and help drive continuous improvement of template agreements and contract management processes. Staying ahead of evolving data privacy and AI regulations, including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, will be a key part of the role.
On the enterprise partnerships and vendor side, you will lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of complex partnership and vendor agreements, design partnership frameworks, templates, and playbooks, and provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory and industry standards relevant to the company's partner ecosystem.
What we're looking for:
JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state (New York or California preferred). Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years of focused work on technology transactions or strategic partnerships. You should be a proactive, self-directed professional who can manage high volumes, set priorities, and operate with minimal supervision.
Bonus points for privacy certifications or substantial privacy experience, a genuine interest in AI and its legal implications, comfort operating in ambiguous environments, and experience in or with regulated industries.
This is a compelling opportunity for a commercially minded attorney who wants to work at the intersection of technology, data, and business at a company that is growing fast and innovating constantly.
