Surg Tech CVOR – Travel Job

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist at a hospital in Winchester, VA. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting surgeons and nurses in the operating room during cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic procedures. You will ensure patient safety by preparing the OR, maintaining sterile technique, operating and prepping cardiac equipment, and supporting first and second scrub roles as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current NBSTSA certification from an accredited program (Certified Surgical Technologist, CVOR preferred).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA only).
• Valid Virginia state license or documentation of license status. Submissions without VA license status will be rejected.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR scrub technologist. Cardiac first-scrub and second-scrub assisting experience preferred.
• Experience with cardiac and vascular operative equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), ECMO, and Atricure cryoablation systems preferred.
• Ability to float to main OR for vascular and thoracic cases when required.

Assignment Details:

• Facility type: Hospital.

• Shift hours: 06:30 — 17:00 (4x10s) with rotating days off per week.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Weekend/on-call requirements: On-call may include weekends and holidays. Approximately 6–13 on-call shifts within a 4-week period.
• Patient population: Adult.
• Patient ratios: 1:1 in unit-specific cases.
