MajorDuties

  • Provides executive leadership and oversight to the Legislative Public Affairs Directorate, ensuring all legislative affairs, public affairs, and strategic communication activities align with OLAC and DoW OIG strategic goals.
  • Serves as the principal advisor and representative to Congress, building effective relationships and ensuring timely, accurate, and authoritative responses to congressional inquiries and requests.
  • Leads the development and execution of enterprise wide public affairs, digital media, and communication strategies to communicate DoW OIG’s mission, priorities, and accomplishments to Congress, the public, media, and internal stakeholders.
  • Advises OLAC and senior DoW OIG leadership on emerging legislative trends, public sentiment, and communication risks and opportunities, providing expert guidance that shapes organizational decision making.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and DoW OIG policies governing congressional relations, public affairs activities, and digital communications.
