The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (BC), provides enterprise solutions for mission support activities including information technology, financial management, human resources, acquisition, property management, and related business and administrative processes to improve customer service at the mission area level. The FPAC Mission area is USDA's focal point for the nation's farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners and is comprised of the Farm Service Agency (FSA), Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), and Risk Management Agency (RMA). These agencies implement programs designed to mitigate the significant risks of farming through crop insurance services, conservation programs and technical assistance, and commodity, lending, and disaster programs.

MajorDuties

  • Oversees the execution of organizational policies, procedures, and regulations, and is responsible for staff management, coordination, and execution of mission support programs that support organizational goals.
  • Participates in short, mid, and long-range planning, providing program objectives, development and direction.
  • Plans, directs, and controls the allocation and utilization of all authorized resources for execution of the mission within the Branch.
  • Provides executive staff level advisory services to all levels within the organization on specific and organization-wide issues that impact programs.
  • Directs the execution of administrative and personnel management responsibilities related to the accomplishment of the mission assigned.
