Position Specifics: Great opportunity for an APP Supervisor looking to work with a team of up-and-coming physicians, and those interested in neurointervention, on a team of multi-skilled providers.
Department Details: Our team of surgeons and neurointerventional radiologists (NIRs) works closely with each other to offer expert neurologic care. We treat a wide range of nervous system conditions — from stroke and spine trauma to aneurysms and tumors. We specialize in: Brain tumor removal, Complex and minimally invasive spine surgery, Nerve surgery and Pain treatment.

What Can UPMC Do for You?
- Master's degree required
- 5 years as a certified nurse practitioner, physician assistant or relevant managerial experience required (at least 3 of the 5 years from APP experience)
- 3 years experience in the department specialty preferred
- PA: A graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) is required. CRNP: The successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program is required.This position is dependent upon successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, if applicable to the Business Unit practice.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CRNP: National certification, eligible for licensure by board of nursing for the practicing state, eligible for certification as a CRNP by the practicing state's board of nursing.CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
