Ready to lead meaningful change in the dairy industry? Join our high‑performance milk processing facility as a Maintenance Supervisor. You’ll lead a skilled maintenance team, drive equipment reliability, and ensure safe, efficient operations across processing and packaging lines. Supporting the Maintenance Manager, you’ll oversee day‑to‑day maintenance, coordinate contractors, escalate complex issues, and maintain accurate documentation for audits and continuous improvement—ensuring schedules are met, standards upheld, and the facility runs safely and smoothly.


Salary: $110,000 annually Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, sick pay, vacation, paid holidays (8–9 annually), bereavement, and retirement benefits (401k eligibility).

What You’ll Be Doing:
 

Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Accountability
•    Provide daily direction, coaching, and performance management for maintenance technicians.
•    Enforce safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
Scheduling & Coverage
•    Build and maintain weekly and daily maintenance schedules.
•    Manage last minute coverage gaps in alignment with Union Contract policies.
Maintenance Execution
•    Ensure PMs and work orders are completed accurately and on time.
•    Maintain high-quality documentation and CMMS accuracy.
Planning, Parts & Storeroom Support
•    Validate work scopes, escalate part shortages, and support emergency part orders.
•    Enforce storeroom organization and parts sign out procedures; ensure critical spares are available.
Cross Functional Collaboration
•    Partner with Production and QA to align maintenance activities with service levels, minimize downtime, and meet food safety requirements.
Meetings & Reporting
•    Participate in daily shift handovers, status updates, operations reviews, and weekly planning meetings.
Off Shift & Emergency Response
•    Take off shift calls, coordinate emergency repairs, and ensure continuity across all shifts.
Hands On Technical Support
•    Oversee major troubleshooting and repairs; escalate complex issues and support root cause analysis.
Contractor & Compliance Oversight
•    Coordinate contractors, ensuring completion of site orientation, permits, and safety/food safety requirements.
•    Support emergency drills, incident reporting, and corrective actions.
Tools, Training & Documentation
•    Maintain tool control and calibration schedules.
•    Oversee technician training, cross training, and competency tracking.
•    Complete coaching sessions, documentation, and corrective actions as needed.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
•    Support reliability initiatives and lead small improvement projects.
•    Assist with capital projects and provide input on parts usage, critical spares, and budget needs.
Audit & Regulatory Support
•    Prepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audits; support QA during inspections.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
•    2+ years of maintenance supervisory experience.
•    2+ years of hands on industrial maintenance preferred.
Technical Skills
•    Electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, VFDs, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and general mechanical systems.
•    CMMS proficiency preferred.
Leadership Skills
•    Strong coaching, communication, and conflict resolution abilities.
•    Proven success managing schedules and performance under pressure.
Other Requirements
•    Valid driver’s license.
•    Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in 24/7 on call rotation.
•    Maintenance Mechanic Level A preferred.
 

Preferred Qualifications
•    Dairy or food manufacturing experience.
•    Certifications such as OSHA 10/30 or CMRP/CMRT.
•    Experience with sanitary equipment, CIP systems, fillers/packers, and HACCP.
•    Bilingual skills or experience with diverse teams.
 

Working Conditions
•    Plant floor environment with variable temperatures and dairy processing conditions; PPE required.
•    Frequent standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional confined space work.
•    Shift work, overtime during breakdowns/projects, and 24/7 on call responsibilities.
