Description
The Quality Control Lab Technician maintains quality standards by collecting product samples, performing and documenting analysis, operating and maintaining QC equipment, generating certificates of analysis, maintaining records, and providing product support.

· Responsible for accurately and consistently performing calibration, operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment including – FTIR, Viscometer,Perkin Elmer Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, pH, MoistureBalance?
· Responsible for routine sample collection, analysis, reporting, issuing product certificates of analysis, and maintaining document control system?
· Manage sample retention inventory ?
· Participate and lead audits and other activities related to supporting the quality management system, registered to the ISO 9001 standard?
· Coordinate with the operations team regarding product quality, process improvement initiatives and troubleshooting?
· Ship samples to customers when requested by sales and R&D
?· Responsible for assessing inventory of lab consumables and delivering completed inventories to QC lab supervisor for ordering
?· Assist in cross-training other departments on QC lab methods
?· Collection and preparation of additional samples for advanced analysis/analysis by outside laboratory
?· Assist in continuous FT-IR model improvement.
?· Assist/assume lead role in Instrument Maintenance, troubleshooting, cleaning
?· Assisting in continuously improving Quality Control Methods and Procedures
?· Ability to fill-in as “proxy” Supervisor
?· Supportandfurther improvea proactive safety, health and environmental system that meets the required standard and legal requirements when conducting process improvements

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
1–2 years of lab assistant or related experience
Some testing and calibration experience
Proficient computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience in an analytical laboratory and/or chemical industry
Entry-level manufacturing QC
Understanding of QA process for manufacturing
Experience with SAP

Work schedule
This is a full-time position; typical work hours are 6:00-4:30 on a 4-day work week. Some overtime may be required to support 24/7 plant operation.

Hourly pay rate:
$21 - $23 per hour
