The Probation Department is recruiting forSupervising Probation Officerswho perform a wide variety of departmental supervisory duties includingorganize, assign, review and evaluate work performed by Probation Officers and assigned staff. Incumbentsconduct orientation or in-service training; explain and interpret departmental policies and procedures; assess staff development needs and confer with Division Directors regarding assignment of personnel, workload, employee performance and unit problems.

Availability:May be assigned to institutions or special programs and may be assigned shift or variable work, including weekend and holiday hours.EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience as a Probation Officer III.
The ideal candidate will possess a diverse experience as a probation officer with a current Peace Officer status to include experience in juvenile, adult, and administrative assignments, leadership skills, and the ability to work as a member of a team, who demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be willing to accept an armed position.Examination Procedure:
