We are seeking a Superintendent (Heavy Civil - Infrastructure) to join the team in New Jersey. This role will lead field execution on a high-profile transportation project, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to spec while coordinating multiple trades and stakeholders.
What You'll Do as the Superintendent (Heavy Civil - Infrastructure):
- Oversee daily field operations across a large-scale infrastructure project
- Drive project schedules by coordinating crews, subcontractors, and materials
- Monitor productivity, progress, and quality to ensure alignment with project goals
- Interpret drawings and specifications to guide field execution
- Partner with project leadership to plan sequencing, logistics, and resource allocation
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific standards
- Collaborate with client representatives, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
- Identify and resolve field issues to keep work moving efficiently
Must-Haves as the Superintendent (Heavy Civil - Infrastructure):
- 20+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with a strong field leadership background
- At least 10 years in a Superintendent or similar supervisory role
- Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects valued at $200M+
- Hands-on experience with piles, structural concrete, and structural steel
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methods, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical plans
- Proficiency with tools such as MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS HeavyBid
- OSHA certification and strong communication skills
Nice-to-Haves as the Superintendent (Heavy Civil - Infrastructure):
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience working on public sector projects or with government agencies
- Familiarity with union labor environments and trade coordination
- Additional safety or first aid certifications
