JOB TITLE: Superintendent
LOCATION: Nashville, TN – Full-time | Onsite
In this role, you will supervise job site employees and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and meets quality standards. You will also help plan and manage project scheduling, safety, quality, and costs, while leading and supporting team members, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Directs all of the job site company employees and subcontractors engaged in workflow, quality, and timeliness of each phase.
- Participates and oversees the organization, scheduling, safety, quality, and cost-control of each project.
- Provide leadership on the project to other employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
- Adhere to and enforce/facilitate a Drug-Free Workplace as outlined in the Workers Compensation Reform Act of 1996.
- Assume sole responsibility for accurately and timely reporting of employee timesheets each week.
- Assist in hiring/training/developing through positive mentoring and supervision for all crew members.
- Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
- Provide timely and detailed updates as needed or requested by Senior Leadership on the status of projects
- Support the company as a positive brand ambassador on the job site and in the community.
- Support and uphold the all company policies and procedures.
- Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling.
- Attend weekly, quarterly, and yearly management meetings to discuss project related items, corporate performance, and corporate goals.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in the commercial construction industry
- Flexibility of working hours and location of work
- Must have the ability to travel and manage projects nationally
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid proof of insurance or ability to be insured
- Safety/CPR certified or the ability to become certified
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction practices; prefer 30 hour OSHA completion
