Summer PT ADHR Youth Employment

ADHR Summer Youth Employment is for youth between the ages of 16 and 24 years of age to learn job skills and work experience.There will be 10 participants hired for this summer program. This is an opportunity for learning and growth in the soft skills gap areas that Alabama employers have deemed an urgent need in the labor force. Some examples of these gap areas are as follows: dependability, time management, and working well with others. All jobs will be in the various departments of Snead State Community College. Participants will be able to work from May 15, 2026 to August 31, 2026.

Eligible participants must be aged 16 – 24 and have household income under 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline. DHR will provide a chart listing the income limit by household size. Applicants will complete the application form (SYP-2074). The income of the applicant and any adult member of the household (ages 16 – 24) need to provide their income regardless of the source. The applicant will need to bring proof of income for the last thirty days to verify the income for their parents and themselves (if applicable).


Pay is $12.00 per hour, up to 19 hours per week. All participants will be paid once monthly.
