The Sewickley Community Center is welcoming summer interns to our Aquatics Department.
We are a nonprofit community center that prides itself on diversity and equality. Our goal is to provide an enriching Summer experience for families from Sewickley and the surrounding communities. The Sewickley Community Center seeks motivated individuals to work with our management team during the 2026 season from June 5/6 to the end of August. Mandatory training is on June 5, 6, and 7 if you are uncertified. Starting pay is $16-$18 dollars per hour.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: maintaining water cleanliness, lifeguard responsibility, creating children's programs, teaching swim lessons, staff management, and assisting with general maintenance.
This is a paid hourly internship that offers community service hours. While we try to maintain a flexible schedule, the position requires at least 270 hours of participation for the Summer. Interns must have a valid CPR and Lifeguard certification, or the ability to pass CPR and Lifeguard certification testing. '
