Summer Intern – Inventory Assistant

Location: Austin, TX

Department: Supply Chain / Stockroom Operations

Reports To: Stockroom Supervisor

Overview

Wenzel Associates is a local manufacturer that makes precision electronic parts used in aerospace and defense systems. Our stockroom is where materials and parts are received, organized, and distributed to production teams. We are looking for a motivated high school student interested in learning about inventory control and hands-on operations.

What You’ll Do

· Help organize and label stockroom materials.

· Assist with counting and tracking parts in bins and shelves.

· Support receiving and issuing parts to technicians.

· Keep work areas clean and orderly.

· Work with Excel or barcode scanners to update inventory lists.

· Participate in improvement projects like reorganizing shelves or updating labels.

What We’re Looking For

· High school student (Junior or Senior preferred) or College students (any year)

· Reliable, organized, and able to follow directions carefully.

· Comfortable using computers and Excel.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

· Interest in learning about manufacturing or supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Current High School/College student with background in electronics or technical skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States: U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), or hold valid, employment-authorized visas.
