Attention Law Students, the Law Offices of Mark S. Martinez is looking to hire 1 summer associate for our boutique law practice. About us: We are a 3 attorney team with an office in Long Beach and a satellite office in Santa Ana, CA. We serve the underrepresented in Eviction Defense, Real Estate Litigation and Plaintiff's Personal Injury.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Summer Associate Law Clerk. The Law Clerk will assist attorneys by composing motions, propounding and responding to discovery in civil litigation, drafting of court notices, subpoenas, analyzing case law, compiling evidence, and supporting trial preparation processes. Collaboration with attorneys and legal staff is an integral part of the role, ensuring the delivery of effective client solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and understanding of legal principles and procedures
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation and experience drafting legal documents
• Exceptional Communication skills, including written and verbal abilities
• Proven Research and Writing skills for analyzing case law and preparing legal documents
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Currently enrolled in or graduated from an accredited law school (JD or equivalent)
• Familiarity with California law and court systems is preferred
• Proficiency with legal research tools, such as LexisNexis or Westlaw, is a plus
