  • Serves as a Prevention Program Specialist at the CSACC/SACC of [Installation Name]. Serves as the primary advisor for oversight and development of various substance abuse prevention training and education programs to include research of unit level operations; critical assessment and training evaluation processes and procedures, development and conduct of training curricula that provides specific and measurable learning objectives. Coordinates the implementation of evidenced-based prevention programs utilizing coalitions and Marine Corps Structure. Reviews and initiate use of social media outlets to reach and educate as many Marines as possible regarding the misuse and abuse of mood altering substances. Serves as subject matter expert for functional alcohol/substance abuse prevention training and programming. Independently conducts reviews and recommends approval or disapproval of program plans and materials; analyzes and develops proposals or provisions in terms of impact on program resources and requirements; develops new and revised operating procedures and standards to incorporate provisions that affect operating activities and requirements; conducts review of the administration and operation of the program, and provides advice. Independently ensures program operation to develop and revise guidelines and training materials and model operating procedures for use; implement program plans and proposals to meet program requirements, and provide program support to improve and sustain the capabilities of commanders, Marines, and family members to prevent problems that detract from unit performance and readiness, and aid in coping successfully with the Marine Corps lifestyle. Develops, coordinates, and submits alcohol/substance abuse prevention plans and policy recommendations to include plans and policies that reflect the relationship of chemical dependency such as: alcohol abuse, family problems (including family violence), suicide, sexual assault, combat operations stress, financial problems, and other problems that detract from unit performance and readiness.
