Under the supervision of the Career Services Director, student is responsible for providing administrative assistance within the
Career Services department.
  • Data entry
  • Employer, faculty, and graduate correspondence
  • Job Postings via College Central Network
  • Assist with Annual Graduate Employment Surveys
  • Contact graduates via email, social media (Facebook/LinkedIn), and direct phone calls
  • Accurately enter graduate data into Survey Monkey, Excel, and online resources
  • Work with Office of Assessment to create graphs based on graduate data
  • Assist with coordination of Annual Career Fairs and recruiting events – both on campus and virtual
  • Accurately update and maintain all documents regarding Career Fairs
  • Correspond with employers to confirm attendance
  • Assist with set up the week of and day of the event
  • Document creation
  • Assist with the training of new student interns

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology
  • Freshman or Sophomore
  • In good academic standing (minimum GPA of 2.5)
  • Able to work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year
  • Able to continue working up to 37.5 hours per week during the summer between freshman and sophomore year, or the summer after graduation

The student should have the following skills/qualities:

  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional Microsoft office skills (particularly with excel)
  • Articulate, great phone/speaking and communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Comfortable interacting with students, faculty, and employers
  • Proficient with the English language (grammar, spelling, punctuation…)
