The City of Oakland is recruiting to fill one (1) part-time Student Trainee vacancy within the Oakland Police Department’s Wellness Unit. Under general supervision, a part-time Student Trainee uses a full range of clerical and technical skills to a perform a variety of clerical, technical, paraprofessional and moderate to complex administrative functions within a department, agency or a special office; conduct research and special studies on City services, policies and programs; assist with or write reports; respond to inquiries from City staff and the general public; and other duties as assigned.

What you will typically be responsible for:Researching and gather information on wellness programs.
Supporting the Wellness coordinator with administrative or clerical tasks.
Assisting with the coordination of wellness events.
Developing or disseminating wellness resources throughout the department.
Preparing formal correspondences.
