We are seeking motivated university students to design, build, and deploy no-code AI solutions using Cerbrec Graphbook to address real-world operations management challenges. Students will work on applied projects involving process improvement, forecasting, quality management, and performance KPIs - without writing traditional code.
This role emphasizes hands-on learning, problem-solving, and AI-enabled decision support, preparing students for modern roles in applied AI in operations, analytics, and digital transformation.
Student No-Code AI Intern (Cerbrec Graphbook for Operations Management Solutions); Part Time (18-20 hrs/month); 5-month project Feb to June 2026 Preferably have taken or are taking MGMT 4350 or Mgmt 4940R Big Data class, or are familiar with the Cerbrec platform.
Department / Program: Strategic Operations and Management (Data Analytics / AI & Digital Transformation) (College of Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Interdisciplinary Programs)
Design and build no-code AI workflows using Cerbrec Graphbook
Develop AI-driven solutions
Process efficiency and productivity improvement
Demand and capacity forecasting
Quality management and defect analysis
Risk analysis (e.g., FMEA-style logic)
KPI (OEE, cycle time, utilization, service levels)
Translate business and operational problems into AI-ready workflows
Work with structured datasets (Excel, CSV, basic databases)
Validate AI outputs and ensure business relevance
Document solutions clearly for faculty, staff, and stakeholders
Present project results to instructors, project sponsors, or campus partners
Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams (business, engineering, IT)
Develop research paper drafts.
Compensation
Hourly student wage: $11.61 to $13.00 / hour
Potential academic credit or recognition (if aligned with program requirements)
Currently enrolled UVU undergraduate or graduate student
Background or coursework in one or more of the following:
Operations Management
Supply Chain or Logistics
Business Analytics / Data Analytics / Business Intelligence / Big Data / Database Management
Industrial Engineering
Information Systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfort working with data in Excel or similar tools
Interest in AI, automation, and decision-support systems
No prior coding experience required
Currently enrolled in or have completed MGMT 2400, Data Analytics in Business, or have passed the MOS Excel certification test.
Familiarity with AI tools such as R, SQL, Python, and Tableau.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Excel
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
Understanding of statistics is a plus
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and the ability to grade assignments independently by the professor's deadline in Canvas.
Good communication skills for helping students do Excel and Tableau assignments in and outside of class.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with:
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts
Forecasting, regression, or basic statistics
KPIs such as OEE, throughput, lead time, or service level
Experience with dashboards or data visualization tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
