Job Description

Join a dynamic and expanding engineering and consulting firm that provides comprehensive structural engineering and consulting services across various project types. This includes structural design, forensic engineering, condition assessments, feasibility studies, and cost estimates. The firm is well-versed in producing outputs using both BIM and CADD outputs, offering expertise in linear and non-linear dynamic modeling of buildings and structures.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software with a focus on structural engineering design.
• Edit and manipulate REVIT families and their parameters.
• Set up new projects independently, link outside models into structural models, and extract model elements such as grid lines and project levels for use in the structural model.
• Assist in the preparation of construction contract documents, plans, and reports.
• Participate in structural engineering analyses and design for projects of various sizes and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Perform calculations using company standard software.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software.
• 0-5 years of experience in design- internship experience is a plus
• Ability to independently manage and set up projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with structural engineering, structural design, and structural analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with project management, structural steel, and steel structures.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Experience with residential or commercial projects.

Work Environment

You will work primarily in an office setting located in Tyson Corner, focusing on design, structural analysis, and calculations. The role offers a flexible schedule with the opportunity to work on diverse projects, and one day of remote work per week. This is a Permanent position based out of Vienna, VA.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
