Job Title: Structural Engineer - Power & Industrial & Buildings Group
Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team, specializing in the Power & Industrial & Buildings group. The Structural Engineer will work within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable structural design packages for power generation facilities. This position offers flexibility with options for in-office or hybrid work at one of our office locations throughout the US.

Responsibilities

  • Execute structural designs of new power generation facilities or retrofit existing facilities.
  • Design concrete and structural steel support structures, including foundation design with combustion and steam turbine dynamic analysis.
  • Design control buildings and ancillary structures.
  • Collaborate with a multi-discipline team to develop structural design packages.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in civil and structural designs, with a minimum of 2 years of experience with power generation facilities.
  • Knowledge of codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and OSHA codes.
  • Proficiency with FEM structural analysis with programs such as RISA or STAAD.
  • Strong client focus and high-level interpersonal communication skills, including proficiency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Smartplant 3D, REVIT, TEKLA, and AUTOCAD.
  • Active Professional Engineering License or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification with the ability to obtain a PE (Professional Engineer) license within 1 year of onboarding.
  • Experience with dynamic analysis and seismic response spectra analysis is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Canadian design standards is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of typical structural design software and Microsoft Office, Windows, and MS Outlook.
Work Environment

This role can be fully remote, with a preference for candidates located on the West Coast timezone, though we are open to candidates across the country. The work environment is flexible and emphasizes a strong client focus, collaboration within a team, and project ownership.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bothell, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
