POSITION SUMMARY
This role will lead the supplier on-time delivery performance improvement efforts, local sourcing, and local cost reduction pipeline for their assigned categories in the Vertiv Americas region. They will promote a lean culture and mindset of continuous improvement and will work closely with Suppliers, Category Management, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Planning, Operations, Engineering and Logistics functions to improve supplier on-time delivery performance and resiliency. This position is an integral part of the Procurement function and will align with both regional and global Procurement strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and lead supplier performance improvement programs to drive continuous improvement across on‑time delivery, cost, quality, and risk for assigned categories.
- Plan and facilitate regular supplier business and performance reviews in partnership with Category Managers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Lead local sourcing activities by anticipating change, challenging the status quo, and driving transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Category Management and local Purchasing to localize critical components, improving lead time, cost, quality, and supply chain agility.
- Expand site‑level cost‑reduction pipelines and lead execution of cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Drive supplier compliance initiatives and hold suppliers accountable for timely execution of improvement actions.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, Operations, Master Data, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve supplier management processes, evaluations, and supplier on‑time‑delivery (OTD) capability.
- Develop and strengthen supplier relationships while leading supply chain performance improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Purchasing and Operations teams to deliver supply chain improvement and optimization programs.
- Lead data analysis and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments to support category strategies and sourcing negotiations.
- Lead moderately complex sourcing events from strategy development through execution.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and lead change initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to enable realization of strategic, operational, and financial value.
- Support Vertiv’s strategic objectives by ensuring supplier performance meets or exceeds internal and external customer requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of Procurement experience, preferably within direct manufacturing or sourcing environments.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with solid business and financial acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in project management and process improvement initiatives.
