Overview

The Strategic Planning & Operations Sr Director is responsible for defining, leading, and operationalizing Myriad’s long‑range strategic planning processes, including multi‑year road mapping, cross‑functional strategic alignment, and enterprise‑level decision governance. This role oversees the design and execution of the “Futures Of” strategic planning framework, working across Myriad’s business units to ensure inputs, milestones, deliverables, and communication mechanisms are in place to support long‑term company strategy.

Responsibility

  1. Strategic Planning Frameworks & Long‑Range Road mapping:
    1. Establish and manage Myriad’s 5‑year project roadmap planning process, including templates, contributors, and check‑in timepoints.
    2. Own ongoing governance and follow‑up of long‑range plans, including decision documentation and tracking.
  2. Future Visioning Program Leadership:
    1. Lead and manage company‑wide strategic assessment cycles for future visioning, ensuring execution rhythm, content readiness, and milestone achievement.
  3. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Alignment:
    1. Establish and drive process to align functional team priorities to enterprise strategy and goals.
    2. Facilitate decision‑making processes requiring negotiation and influence across stakeholder groups including R&D, Operations, Commercial, Business Development, Digital, and Project Management.
  4. Operational Excellence & Strategic Governance:
    1. Establish and maintain planning and evaluation templates, workflows, dashboards, and communication processes.
    2. Prepare executive‑level strategic materials including board updates.
    3. Supporting executive operations and executive leadership team alignment.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
  2. 12+ years of increasing responsibility in strategy, planning, project management or consulting roles.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross‑functional initiatives at enterprise scale.
  4. Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and executive‑level synthesis skills.
  5. Core Competencies:

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in molecular diagnostics, life sciences, drug discovery and development, or digital health.
  2. MBA or advanced scientific degree is highly preferred.
  3. Familiarity with the regulatory, reimbursement, and clinical workflows relevant to laboratory testing.
