Stormwater Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Stormwater Engineer with the ability to draft detailed plans and profiles of small and large diameter water/sewer mains and storm drains, as well as design details for pumping stations, treatment plants, water storage tanks, vaults, and similar structures for plan and section reviews.

Responsibilities

• Draft detailed plans and profiles of water/sewer mains and storm drains.
• Design details for pumping stations, treatment plants, water storage tanks, and vaults.
• Conduct plan and section reviews.
• Participate in 90% design-focused projects with potential PM responsibilities.
• Review as-built utility information and apply knowledge of utilities.
• Utilize Horizontal and Vertical Datums such as NAD 83, NGVD 29, and NAVD 88 in the State of Maryland.

• Proficient in AutoCAD with at least 3 years of experience (internships considered).
• Proficient in Civil 3D.
• Experience with water treatment or wastewater projects.
• Familiarity with WSSC and Baltimore City design requirements.

• Knowledge of ArcGIS is a plus.
• Experience using multiple formats for preparing detailed contract drawings.

This role offers immediate growth opportunities into project management roles. The work is primarily design-based, with future opportunities to take on project management responsibilities. Engineers are encouraged to pursue their Professional Engineer (PE) license, which will enhance potential contributions to bids and proposals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Laurel, MD.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $135000.00/yr.

EBA engineering pushes all their engineers to pursue their PE. There is also immediate growth opportunities into PM roles in the future. Currently there are 2 PMs at EBA that do not hold their PE, they are filling in until other engineers receive their PE and want to take on additional responsibilities. These PMs without their PEs limit EBA's ability to include them on bids and proposals.

This is a hybrid position in Laurel,MD.

This position is anticipated to close on Apr 24, 2026.
