Store Manager- Vido Village

CAMI NYC
Newport Beach, CA

Founded in New York, CAMI NYC is the original silk camisole — and the brand that built elevated essentials into a wardrobe philosophy. Our pieces are designed in NYC and worn by women who understand that the best wardrobe is built from the inside out: pieces that move between a Wednesday meeting, a Friday dinner, and a Saturday wedding without breaking stride. Lido Marina Village will be one of CAMI NYC's first West Coast retail homes — a flagship expression of the brand for our Southern California client.

THE ROLE

We're hiring a Store Manager to open and lead our Lido Marina Village location. This is not a traditional store-manager role. We need a true expert in the Newport Beach / Orange County luxury and contemporary market — someone who already knows the client, the stylists, the neighbors, and the rhythm of Lido. You will be the public face of CAMI NYC in this market and the architect of how we show up for our community here.

The right candidate brings an active book of clients and a working network of personal stylists, image consultants, fashion editors, and complementary brand partners. You know which Pilates studios the client trains at, which restaurants she meets her friends for lunch, and which stylists are dressing her for the gala this fall. You'll combine that local knowledge with rigorous operational execution to make this store the highest-performing soft opening in our portfolio.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead with clienteling

  • Build, own, and grow CAMI NYC's top-client book in Orange County — using your existing relationships from day one and adding net-new VIP clients each quarter.
  • Personally manage a portfolio of 50+ top clients, hosting fittings, curating wardrobe edits, and coordinating gifting, alterations, and at-home delivery.
  • Drive a clienteling rhythm across the team — texts, look-books, appointment booking, follow-through after every visit — with measurable repeat-visit and reorder targets.

Build the stylist & partner network

  • Activate your network of personal stylists, celebrity stylists, image consultants, and fashion editors as a consistent referral and pull-through engine for the store.
  • Establish trade and partner programs — preferred-stylist allowances, wardrobe-pull protocols, pull-and-return logistics, and credit terms — and own the relationships end-to-end.
  • Identify and execute neighborhood partnerships at Lido Marina Village and across Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, and Laguna — wellness studios, hospitality, charitable boards — that bring our client into the store.

Run the store

  • Lead daily operations: opening and closing, scheduling, cash handling, loss prevention, inventory accuracy, transfers, and visual standards.
  • Partner with corporate planning, allocation, and visual merchandising on assortment, replenishment, and floor-set execution.
  • Maintain the boutique to the standard our client expects — every fixture, every steamer, every hanger, every day.

Build and develop the team

  • Hire, train, and lead a team of stylists and key holders. Set the tone for service, product knowledge, and the CAMI NYC point of view.
  • Coach daily — shoulder-to-shoulder on the floor, and in structured weekly one-on-ones — against clear performance benchmarks.
  • Build a bench: identify and develop the next assistant manager and key holders from within.

Be the face of the brand

  • Represent CAMI NYC at trunk shows, charity events, store activations, press previews, and community moments.
  • Partner with marketing on local events and content capture, and help shape what "CAMI NYC West Coast" looks and feels like.

WHO YOU ARE

Required

  • 7+ years of luxury or elevated-contemporary retail experience, with at least 3 years as a Store Manager or Senior Stylist in a high-volume specialty store.
  • A demonstrable, active book of personal clients in Newport Beach / Orange County — not just a list of names, but relationships you've cultivated over years.
  • An established network of personal stylists and image consultants in the Southern California market, with proof of pull-through business you've driven through them.
  • Track record of opening or relaunching a store, or otherwise scaling a location from zero — soft-open through stabilization.
  • Fluent in retail KPIs and comfortable owning the store business. You can read a sell-through report, identify the bleed, and act on it the same day.
  • Hands-on leadership style; allergic to back-office posture. You're on the floor, in the fitting room, and on the phone with clients.
  • Polished, warm, low-ego presence. You make every client and every team member feel like the most important person in the room.

Preferred

  • Existing relationships with key stylists working with talent and editorial in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Palm Desert.
  • Background in elevated-essential, contemporary-luxury, or quiet-luxury brands
  • Familiarity with Shopify POS, Endear or comparable clienteling tools, and a CRM workflow you've personally built.
  • Existing ties to Lido Marina Village or Fashion Island merchant communities.

CAMI NYC is an equal-opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for every member of our team.
