This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Work On

  • Engage with vendors on a daily basis to place orders, expedite purchase of critical items and follow-up on open stock orders.

  • Review/investigate receipt questions/discrepancies for stock items.

  • Issue stock items through Maximo.

  • Receive, record, and store incoming material and stock items.

  • Perform cycle count on a daily basis to maintain the accuracy of stock items.

  • Work with Engineering and Maintenance to set up new items.

  • Process items for repair and maintain a separate warehouse within Maximo for repairable items.

  • Obtain RA# for motors from vendor, process paperwork involved, and package and identify properly for shipping.

  • Maintain stockroom in a neat and orderly manner for audit purposes.

  • Provide financial reports for key stakeholders, assist accounts payable concerning invoice discrepancies, and provide repair parts for PM’s, shutdowns, etc.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor to meet department goals

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • High level of attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Computer skills are a must from data entry to the day to day operation of the stockroom.

  • Must be able to multi-task.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of previous stock room experience.

The base pay for this position is $17.15 – $34.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
