Job Summary Holy Infant Catholic Church & School is seeking a passionate and innovative STEM Lab Teacher / Resource Teacher to support student learning through engaging STEM instruction and targeted academic interventions. This role blends hands-on, inquiry-based STEM education with individualized and small-group academic support for students with diverse learning needs.
Job Responsibilities STEM Instruction & Lab Facilitation - Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate STEM lessons aligned with diocesan guidelines and national standards.
- Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into STEM instruction when appropriate.
- Facilitate hands-on, project-based learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
- Utilize educational technology and STEM tools to enhance student learning.
- Encourage inquiry, collaboration, and exploration to deepen understanding of STEM concepts.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and innovative STEM lab environment.
Resource & Academic Support - Provide small-group and individualized academic support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and implement accommodations.
- Assist in developing and implementing intervention strategies and learning plans.
- Support students in building academic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes.
Collaboration & Communication - Work closely with teachers, administration, and support staff to promote student success.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress when appropriate.
- Participate in student support meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives.
Faith & School Community - Support and model the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Participate in school liturgies, events, and community activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to diocesan and legal guidelines.
Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM field, Special Education, or related area (required).
- Teaching certification or licensure (preferred).
- Experience in STEM instruction and/or working with students with diverse learning needs (preferred).
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to implement differentiated instruction and targeted interventions.
- Proficiency with educational technology and STEM tools.
- Practicing Catholic preferred or willingness to support the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
