Hiring Traveling Steel/Crane Install Technician 30-42/HR + Per Diem

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Steel Install Technician, where you'll have the opportunity to build large industrial lifting and structural systems across the country. This role is perfect for those who enjoy hands-on work, team collaboration, and the excitement of traveling to different locations.

Responsibilities

  • Travel nationwide to install structural steel, mechanical components, and lifting systems.
  • Set columns, runways, hoists, bridges, and control systems.
  • Lay out steel, verify parts, and ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Bolt, connect, and weld structural components.
  • Read blueprints and schematics to guide installation work.
  • Collaborate with teammates to complete complex installations safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in steel installation, rigging, or mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, measurements, and layout plans.
  • Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
  • Team mindset, reliability, and a commitment to safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding experience.
  • Previous crane or hoist installation exposure.
  • Experience as a millwright, iron worker, or crane installer/inspector.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $87360.00/yr.
