Stand-up Forklift Operators Needed in Dickson $22/hr!

The Material Handler performs a wide range of warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and general facility upkeep. This role supports efficient movement, storage, and replenishment of materials while operating warehouse equipment safely and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and assemble customer orders accurately and efficiently according to established procedures.
  • Check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness before shipment.
  • Perform inventory stock checks and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Restock and label vendor products to ensure proper identification and organization.
  • Maintain product displays such as tools, caulk, and related items in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Move, store, and replenish material throughout the warehouse as needed.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts to support ongoing inventory accuracy.
  • Receive and unload inbound material from trucks and other delivery vehicles.
  • Process inbound shipments, verify documentation, and stock material in designated locations.
  • Process customer returns and ensure proper documentation and handling.
  • Notify management of damaged shipments to support freight claims and corrective actions.
  • Operate forklift equipment safely to move, load, and unload materials.
  • Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to transport products within the facility.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks.
  • Use RF scanners or similar devices to pick orders and track inventory movements.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as packing, staging, and organizing materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, removing trash, and supporting restroom and general office maintenance as needed.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures as outlined in the Safety Program.
  • Report all accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts to management promptly.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support overall warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Experience with material handling in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely.
  • Ability to use pallet jacks for moving materials.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Order picking and packing experience.
  • Ability to load and unload trucks and other delivery vehicles.
  • Experience using RF scanners for picking and inventory tracking.
  • Basic warehouse inventory knowledge and stock handling skills.
  • Ability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse setting.
  • Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and proper labeling.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining product displays and merchandising within a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Ability to perform cycle counts and support inventory control processes.
  • Comfort working with customer returns and related documentation.
  • Capability to perform light facility maintenance tasks such as sweeping and trash removal.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Reliability and punctuality to support consistent 2nd shift operations.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse facility on a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You will work in an active environment that involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift. The position requires regular use of forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other standard warehouse equipment. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and organization, with routine sweeping, trash removal, and general upkeep of warehouse, restroom, and office areas. Safety is a core focus, with established safety rules and a formal Safety Program that all team members follow.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dickson, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.70/hr.
