Job Title: Loader / Unloader
Job Description

This role focuses on efficiently loading and unloading trucks in a fast-paced distribution center environment. You will handle pallets and boxes, operate material handling equipment, and support team members to ensure products move safely and accurately through the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Assist selectors and other associates with moving pallets and boxes as needed.
  • Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to transport goods within the distribution center.
  • Maintain a consistent work pace to meet productivity expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Support team members by stepping in to help with loading, unloading, and material handling tasks.
  • Keep work areas organized and free of hazards to promote a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Accurately handle and move products to minimize damage and ensure correct placement.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with loading and unloading trucks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Hands-on experience with pallet jacks and general material handling.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation, including stand-up forklifts.
  • Reliable attendance and strong punctuality.
  • Demonstrated good tenure in previous roles, showing stability and commitment.
  • Coachability and openness to feedback and training.
  • Willingness to help and collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with picking, loading, and unloading pallets and boxes.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain productivity in a physically demanding role.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to assist in different material handling tasks as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a distribution center operating in a fast-paced setting. You will work primarily on-site from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., handling frequent loading and unloading tasks. The role involves regular use of pallet jacks and may include operating stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment. The environment is active and physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting, bending, and moving of boxes and pallets. You will work closely with other associates and selectors in a team-focused setting, following safety procedures and maintaining an organized, efficient workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.35 - $17.35/hr.
