Key Responsibilities

Assist with assurance engagements, including compilations, reviews, audits, and related workpapers.
Support preparation of individual, business, and entity tax returns.
Work with senior staff and managers to gather client information, reconcile accounts, and resolve basic accounting issues.
Learn firm processes, client service expectations, and documentation standards.
Develop a practical “nuts and bolts” understanding of small and mid-sized business accounting needs.
Support clients across industries, with construction-industry exposure considered valuable.

Ideal Background

0+ year(s) of accounting, tax, assurance, internship, bookkeeping, or related experience.
Accounting degree or active progress toward an accounting degree preferred.
Smaller CPA firm, bookkeeping, or hands-on business accounting exposure preferred over narrow large-firm experience.
Interest in both tax and assurance work.
Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and comfort working in a collaborative office environment.
