Staff Quality Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid/Remote)
Salary: $180,000 – $220,000 + equity
Introductory Description
A fast scaling and successful start up are looking for a Staff Quality Engineer to join their R&D team designing innovative leading detection systems for various applications.
Key Skills / Experience
Required:
- Strong and proven experience in quality engineering, systems engineering, or reliability engineering.
- Experience with complex systems (hardware + embedded software + cloud/AI).
- Verification & validation (V&V) methodologies.
- Experience with risk management tools (e.g., FMEA, DFMEA).
- Ability to apply statistical methods for testing and acceptance criteria.
- Strong stakeholder communication across engineering and leadership teams.
Beneficial:
- Experience with camera systems, sensor fusion, or edge AI.
- Familiarity with reliability modelling (Weibull, MTBF/MTTF).
- Experience using Python data stack or statistical tools.
