Seeking a Staff Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. This role partners with business and technical teams to deliver scalable data pipelines, models, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data and reporting needs.
- Design and maintain data warehouse structures and dimensional data models.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and cloud technologies.
- Develop data ingestion and transformation processes from multiple data sources.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data quality and performance.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools.
- Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of analytics solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- 4+ years of SQL development experience.
- 3+ years of data engineering, data warehousing, or dimensional modeling experience.
- 3+ years of ETL/ELT development using Python, BigQuery, Informatica, or similar tools.
- Experience working with POS or syndicated consumption data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced SQL and query optimization experience.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
- Strong background in data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with Sales, Marketing, Retail, or Consumer Analytics data.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with cloud data services and enterprise BI platforms.
