Night Shift | Contract‑to‑Hire

We are hiring Shipping, Receiving & Warehousing (SRW) Associates to support warehouse and logistics operations in a large manufacturing environment in Chesapeake, VA. This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity offering long overnight shifts, consistent hours, and strong potential for long‑term placement for dependable, motivated candidates.

This role is well‑suited for individuals who prefer overnight schedules, enjoy hands‑on work, and take pride in accuracy and teamwork.

Night Shift Only

• 6:00 PM – 6:15 AM
• Rotating schedule (alternating 3‑day and 4‑day workweeks)
• Overtime paid at time and a half

• $17.00 per hour
• Shift differentials may apply depending on assignment

• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including preparing finished goods for customer shipment
• Package finished products from the production line
• Pack, unpack, and visually inspect materials for quality and accuracy
• Coordinate stock and assist with inventory storage and organization
• Document warehouse transactions and maintain accurate records
• Build pallets and move large sheets as part of two‑person tasks
• Deliver orders internally and assist with returning canceled or damaged items to vendors
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all safety and environmental requirements
• Safely operate tools and equipment used in warehouse operations
• Support supervisors and teammates with training and cross‑training
• Perform other duties as assigned

A forklift license may be required and can be provided on site if needed.

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience
• Ability to perform repetitive manual labor while standing for the full shift
• Ability to lift and move large materials with team assistance
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Reliable attendance, especially for overnight shifts
• Team‑oriented mindset in a close‑knit work environment

• Non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing facility
• Steel‑toe boots required (employee provided)
• PPE provided (gloves, safety glasses, hard hat)

This night‑shift role offers steady overnight hours, long shifts with built‑in days off, and an opportunity to demonstrate reliability and strong work ethic in a structured warehouse environment. Candidates who perform well may be considered for long‑term or permanent placement as business needs grow.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHESAPEAKE, VA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in CHESAPEAKE,VA.
