This role leads large‑scale QA and testing initiatives, bringing together technical depth and strong delivery management. Ideal candidates have an engineering or SDET background and excel at coordinating complex testing programs across large, cross‑functional teams. You’ll drive day‑to‑day execution, manage dependencies, remove blockers, and ensure full transparency for business and technology stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Program & Delivery Leadership
- Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of complex QA and testing programs across multiple teams.
- Translate technical requirements into actionable plans, including test cycles, environment needs, integration points, and cross‑team dependencies.
- Break down work into clear tasks, assign ownership, track progress, and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Identify risks early, manage issues proactively, and maintain alignment across engineering, QA, and product teams.
QA & Testing Coordination
- Oversee key QA deliverables such as test plans, test results, and completion reports.
- Manage daily test execution activities, including issue triage, defect tracking, and incident resolution.
- Monitor and validate testing progress, ensuring accurate reporting of test case results, defects, incidents, and quality metrics.
- Partner closely with SDETs, QA engineers, and development teams to ensure testing strategies align with system architecture and release goals.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
- Deliver clear, concise daily and weekly status updates highlighting milestones, progress, risks, and quality indicators.
- Lead recurring cross‑functional status meetings and ensure all stakeholders have visibility into delivery health.
- Communicate risks, tradeoffs, and mitigation strategies at an executive level.
Jira Planning & Governance
- Own Jira setup and ongoing management for testing programs, including environment schedules and test cycle timelines.
- Maintain strong Jira hygiene across programs, projects, and epics—ensuring accurate statuses, RYG indicators, percent‑complete tracking, and dependency visibility.
- Collaborate with QA Scrum Masters to ensure boards are structured effectively, stories and tasks are well‑defined, and end‑to‑end requirements traceability is maintained.
