Job Description
Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondel?z International?
Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It With Pride.
Working as part of a cross-functional team, you translate complex technical challenges related to product, process and packaging into computer simulations to promote rapid, high-quality innovation across our chocolate, biscuit, gum and candy categories. You identify, define and solve complex business problems by applying broad technical knowledge in physics, mathematics and computational science. You work collaboratively with others on the team to meet the current and future strategic demands of the business.
How you will contribute
You will work with engineers and scientists across all categories to define M&S work tracks to address technical challenges. Using your scientific/physics background, you will identify the problem domain as well as the most appropriate computational solution. You will scope out the requirements for solution development, including material characterization, computational tools, democratization strategies and dissemination. To source material testing, you will work with internal Analytical team or external laboratories. Some hands-on sample preparation and testing may be needed. You will develop the computational solutions, either using existing FEA tools (e.g. Ansys) or develop your own tools based on first principles.
You will ensure that simulations are validated against experimental data; report results from the simulations and work with R&D teams to ensure that learning is embedded into the business quickly to speed up innovation and optimization. To enable non-experts to use your computational solution, you will develop democratization solutions which form a wrapper around the computational solution. As this is a rapidly evolving field, you will keep abreast of developments in relevant modelling and simulation techniques and maintain and develop simulation resources including hardware and software updates. You may also need to occasionally work with IT to maintain security and back-up systems.
