As we continue to expand our Retail operations worldwide, we are seeking a skilled Retail Operations Specialist to join our team.
Overview
The Senior Retail Operations Specialist will be responsible for owning our operations as a supplier to major retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Lowe's, Home Depot, other big-box retail partners, as well as our smaller wholesale distributor and dealer customers. This role requires strong project management skills and experience in utilizing tools like Retail Link, Monday.com, ERP systems, and Google Suite. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of retail operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role is perfect for someone who operates with initiative, urgency, and wants to be hands-on in all facets of their business. Timeliness, ownership, professionalism, and integrity are imperative to success in this role. As the Point of Contact for RhinoUSA’s retail operation, this person will need to be timely with responses, have strong project management skills, and strong interpersonal skills to fully optimize the end to end process for Retail/B2B.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Retail Operations Execution:
- Oversee and own the operations related to supplying products to major retailers such as Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot, and others, as well as our smaller dealer partners.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, compliance with retailer requirements, and efficient inventory management.
- Complete ownership over the success of Retail business with support from leadership and direct reports.
- Implementation project management and cross-departmental collaboration on a daily basis with task management and tracking to ensure success.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage multiple projects related to retail operations, including new product launches, new retailer launches, promotional campaigns, and supply chain optimization.
- Develop detailed project plans, set milestones, and ensure timely execution and delivery of projects utilizing Monday.com software to track progress.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and brokers, acting as the main point of contact for operational matters.
- Collaborate with retailers to understand their needs, address issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Utilization of Tools:
- Utilize Retail Link to manage and analyze retail sales data, inventory levels, On time In Full %, and order fulfillment.
- Use Monday.com for project management, task tracking, and team collaboration.
- Leverage ERP for inventory management and supply chain optimization.
- Utilize Google Suite and Slack for communication, documentation, and data analysis.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for retail partners, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations. Own the success of inventory execution with each retail customer.
- Coordinate with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage lead times.
Performance Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on retail operations performance, including sales data, inventory levels, and project status.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction.
Process Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance retail operations processes, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, implementing relevant strategies to optimize retail operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field desired.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail operations management, preferably as a supplier to major retailers like Walmart, Costco, Lowe's, Home Depot, and more.
- Understanding of PO processes, EDI connections and vendor setup processes
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Retail Link, Monday.com, ERP systems, and Google Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with retail partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of retail operations.
