Product Marketing Manager - Forge / Direct Hire/FTE, or Contract-to-Hire / Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite) San Jose, CA. / $170-200K annually
Overview:
- Client’s Software Forge (softwareforge.ai) is the first intent and context aware Enterprise Software Factory that transforms raw ideas into governed, enterprise ready applications at AI speed—from concept to cloud and from legacy debt to modern code, all in a single Software Factory. We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead positioning, sales enablement, and content strategy for Forge. You will partner with Product, Sales, and Engineering to translate complex AI SDLC, governance, and modernization capabilities into compelling stories for developers, platform engineers, and product managers who own “idea to production” workflows.
- You will also act as an AI native strategist, using AI extensively to drive messaging, research, win loss analysis, and marketing workflows, making the PMM function faster, smarter, and more efficient.
Responsibilities:
Positioning & Messaging
- Own Forge’s core positioning and narratives across three core threads:
- Idea to Production for Product Managers: Messaging around how Forge turns raw ideas into PRDs, architectures, and sprint ready work orders, then ships governed code from concept to cloud.
- AI SDLC Governance & Guardrails: How Forge preserves intent and context from day zero, using specs, ForgeScore style health radar, and guardrails to enforce security, stability, and compliance.
- Enterprise Modernization: Clear messaging for IT and CTOs on how Forge reduces legacy tech debt burden while accelerating cloud native delivery.
Product Manager–First Storytelling
- Build and evangelize the “product manager as orchestrator” story: how product managers use Forge to go from idea to spec to architecture to Jira work orders to production, with full traceability and auditability.
Product Launches & Releases
- Lead launches and feature releases for Forge, including idea to production workflows, spec and PRD generation, ForgeScore style dashboards, and modernization blueprint capabilities.
Sales Enablement
- Create high impact tools tailored for technical and product manager buyers, launch decks, battlecards, ROI tools, and “idea to production” playbooks, that help sales win complex Software Factory and transformation deals.
Content & Thought Leadership
- Direct blogs, whitepapers, webinars, and campaigns around AI SDLC, product manager driven software factories, and modernization driven competitive advantage, positioning Forge as the canonical narrative for intent driven, governed software factories. [web/52][web/54].
Market & Competitive Research
- Research and position Forge against AI coding assistants, AI SDLC platforms, and modernization tools, clarifying how idea to production workflows, intent traceability, and ForgeScore style governance create a differentiated wedge.
Cross functional Alignment
- Align Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success around a unified GTM vision for Forge, spanning product manager led feature development, governed velocity, and modernization plays. [web/42][web/45][web/52].
AI Native Execution
- Use AI to analyze win loss transcripts, then turn them into structured insights and updated battlecards. Leverage AI to test and refine messaging for product managers, developers, and IT leaders, ensuring each persona sees a clear, differentiated story for Idea to Production Software Factories. Design and implement AI driven workflows so you can deliver more GTM value with less manual effort.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of product marketing experience, with a strong track record in Developer Tools, DevOps, AI SDLC, enterprise software, or IT modernization platforms.
- Deep understanding of Developer, Platform Engineer, Product Manager, and IT Leader personas, especially how product managers think about idea to production workflows and tech debt tradeoffs.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate into clear business value for product managers and CIOs.
- SLG (sales led growth) and PLG (product led growth) a bonus.
- Proven experience using AI/LLM tools and AI driven platforms (e.g., for competitive intelligence, call analysis, or workflow automation) to accelerate research, messaging, and operations.
