Position Description:
Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, and material handling
Able to demonstrate and instill a strong safety culture in daily operations
Generates and maintains manufacturing bills of materials (MBOM)
Performing cause and corrective action investigations to permanently eliminate defects using root cause analysis tools
Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of product, tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance
Adapts process, tool, machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions
Working with concurrent engineering team to create Build-to-Packages (i.e. engineering and planning documents)
Inspects performance of processes, product, machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality
Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques
Preparing and presenting technical presentations to VSET, leadership, and customers for review and approval

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Our position emphasizes skills and requires 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree
Engineering experience in supporting a production environment
Experience working with design engineering, quality engineering, Operations, and Inspection personnel
Proven partnership/collaboration skills and ability to partner with cross-functional disciplines within a team
Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Manufacturing Planning and MRP software
Experience with PLM Software (Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
Experience with using 3D modeling software (Solidworks, NX, Pro-E, etc.)
Experience working with Aerospace standards and the implementation of standards across cross-functional teams
Experience with chemical and mechanical bonding processes—rubber and composite molding processes
