Our client, nearly 100 years old with a history of strong, consistent financial performance and a thriving culture of employee empowerment, has partnered with Coleman Search Group to identify a Senior Personal Lines Marketing Specialist to run the Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania territory.
About the Role:
The Senior Personal Lines Marketing Specialist is responsible for achieving production and profitability goals by identifying key agency partners, uncovering new business opportunities, and supporting new agency appointments. This individual monitors business performance across segments, territories, and agencies—analyzing results, recommending adjustments, and implementing strategies to maximize outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all territory business factors, including production, agency development, and producer performance.
- Monitoring agency success and executing plans to increase quote activity, bind ratios, and overall production.
- Delivering technical expertise and conducting training, marketing sessions, and product presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Developing and executing marketing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Supporting product and pricing strategy development through competitive intelligence, rate review analysis, and market insights.
- Reviewing applications and financial requirements to support risk selection and underwriting decisions.
- Identifying book roll opportunities, analyzing book performance, and managing the book roll process to ensure successful close rates and agent accountability.
- Mentoring and training additional staff on departmental strategies and best practices.
- Traveling extensively within the assigned territory (approximately 80% of time) to maintain strong agency relationships and market presence
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Requirements
- Strong personal lines insurance knowledge across underwriting, marketing, and distribution.
- Demonstrated communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven results orientation with the ability to drive profitable growth.
- Excellent marketing and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Proficiency with standard business software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and web‑based tools.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license in good standing and ability to travel extensively by car.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of field marketing experience within the insurance industry.
- 5+ years of underwriting experience, ideally within personal line
