Job Summary
The Sr. OC Analyst is responsible for administrating and supporting client’s operating system environments according to best practices, ensuring high levels of system availability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 troubleshooting for operating system issues, hardware performance, security vulnerabilities, and other basic systems management tasks.
- Manage alerts for Microsoft Windows Server OS services such as DHCP, DNS, AD, and CA.
- Respond to events to ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability.
- Collaborate with client application teams to resolve operating system, availability, and performance-related issues.
- Monitor security, backup, and redundancy systems according to predefined standards.
- Work closely with and support the IT Service Desk, Engineering team, and vendors to expedite issue resolution.
- Regularly review logs of events based on organization/client requirements.
- Properly administer assigned tickets, including documentation, updates, and managing ticket performance.
- Identify opportunities for alert reduction and automation.
- Recognize alert patterns and suggest solutions.
Skills and Experience
Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday | 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Night Shift)
Requirements:
- Basic Windows Server administration and networking knowledge
- Familiarity with Active Directory
- Understanding of the ITIL framework
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and infrastructure operations (backup, patching, antivirus)
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, BAT, VBScript)
- Exposure to cloud and virtualization concepts
- Linux and CCNA knowledge (nice to have)
Experience & Education:
- High School diploma required
- Degree in IT, Computer Science or related (nice to have)
- 2+ years in similar roles (nice to have)
Languages:
- English & Spanish (B2+ required)
