Job Title: Lead Software Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer to serve as a hands-on technical leader within a small, high-performing development team. This role requires a strong blend of deep technical expertise, leadership, and accountability, with a primary focus on building and maintaining enterprise-grade business applications.
The ideal candidate is a credible technical leader who leads by example through coding, mentoring, and sound decision-making, while maintaining high standards for quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using modern technologies
- Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing significantly to coding efforts (approximately 70–80%)
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to development team members
- Collaborate with product, QA, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Drive architecture decisions, design patterns, and best practices across the team
- Own delivery outcomes, including quality, timelines, and overall execution
- Ensure adherence to secure coding practices and development standards
- Participate in problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization
- Quickly learn and adopt new tools and technologies, including modern AI-enabled development tools
Required Qualifications
- 10–20 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven experience in a technical leadership or lead engineering role
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- C# / .NET (backend development)
- JavaScript and modern UI development
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles
- Experience building and supporting enterprise/business applications
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with React or modern front-end frameworks
- Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation)
- Understanding of application security best practices
- Experience working in domains such as supply chain, inventory management, or merchandising systems
