JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for directing a team within the Technical Operations organization of Spectrum Networks. Functional area could span Information Technology, and Broadcast Engineering disciplines. Organize and direct, staff and manage, as well as measures the success of the department. Function could include testing, project management, integration, and ongoing support. Includes building end user support teams, strengthening business partner relationships, and successfully leading cross functional teams. Implements strategy for the department. Works with the National Technology teams to source, design, and implement new technology strategies as needed.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Oversee assigned technical area including those related to Engineering and Information Technology.

Execute on and assists in the development of the overall department strategic plan and implements the plan for his/her area.

Direct technical employees to ensure appropriate internal customer support and execution excellence.

Develop scorecard and metrics to measure performance of assigned team.

Accountable for the departmental budget and related capital expenditures.

Assist with the creation and successful management of departmental budgets.

Enhance consistent best practices to ensure optimized delivery aligned with company initiatives and expectations.

Develop strong partnerships with project sponsor organizations and other cross-functional teams to optimize delivery.

Work with other business partners to identify process improvement opportunities.

Develop an effective team to drive a high performance culture and environment.

Consult with peers while implementing departmental strategy, direction and changes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Ability to communicate with senior levels of management and internal partners

Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

Ability to successfully build and lead teams of engineering and information technology resources

Ability to use personal computer and software applications

Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in performance of job duties

Ability to manage IT and engineering programs

Engineering and information technology knowledge of assigned area as well as the knowledge of a wide variety of tools and technologies used in assigned area

Understanding of the core business processes and existing system capabilities

Knowledge of consulting skills and the ability to leverage staffing firms

Knowledge of business process re-engineering

Knowledge of video, internet, phone residential and business product features and network capabilities

Understanding and ability to successfully manage complex program and project budgets

Required Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Technology experience preferred including - 6-7

Cable industry experience - 6-7

Software development or engineering work experience - 6-7

Managing projects - 2-4

The pay for this position has a salary range of $120,800.00 to $257,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
