Our client a sportswear company is looking to hire on a Sr. Merchandise Planner to join their team in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a hybrid 1-year long contract position.
As the Senior Merchandise Planner for Regional Planning you will drive regional assortment and financial planning strategy across the Americas. This is a highly visible role working cross-functionally with merchandising, finance, and global planning teams to align regional performance with broader business objectives.

What you’ll be doing:
• Lead regional merchandise financial planning across channels, aligning global targets with regional consumer trends
• Build and manage top-down plans, ensuring alignment with sales targets and business strategy
• Partner closely with merchandising and planning teams to optimize assortment strategies by category, division, and region
• Analyze performance data (sales, margin, segmentation) and present insights + recommendations to leadership
• Identify risks and opportunities within assortments and proactively drive solutions
• Support monthly/quarterly business reviews and help shape regional strategy
What we’re looking for:
• 2–5 years of experience in planning, merchandising, or related field
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
• Experience with tools like Tableau (Blue Yonder is a plus)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
