DescriptionPurpose:
The Senior Manager Field Asset Protection is responsible for execution of national AP strategy via complying with established Regional AP goals and objectives within an assigned market.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager Field Asset Protection is responsible for directing, managing and executing all Asset Protection programs, through their team, both direct and indirect reports and business partners, within their assigned area of responsibility to achieve maximum shrink improvement and protection of company assets.
Must demonstrate advanced AP knowledge and technical expertise as well as the ability to coach and build AP technical expertise to drive high performance.
This position is responsible for overseeing and driving the effectiveness of Asset Protection programs and objectives through assessments, use of tools, including investigative exception reporting, and resolution of internal and external theft investigations. This position reports to the Director of Asset Protection and has 2-4 direct reports as well as indirect reports. They will also have a strong working relationship with their assigned Regional and District Sales Managers, Region support team, and HR business partners. Ideal Candidate would be based out of the San Francisco, California or the Seattle Washington areas.
Must possess the ability to:
- Build a high performing team through talent acquisition, performance development and succession planning and developing AP associates within assigned area, including Regional Asset Protection Managers and Asset Protection Investigators.
- Work effectively across multiple geographical areas to manage and direct team priorities.
- Effectively drive the execution of programs that are instrumental in the prevention and improvement of shrink, including the shrink improvement program.
- Master AP tools and systems, including exception-based reporting, to aid in the prevention, detection and resolution of internal and external theft.
- Lead training and skill development across team to build functional expertise and ensure effective utilization of AP tools, systems and programs.
- Possess expert investigative skills for both internal and external investigations, including internal theft interviewing skills, using the W-Z method, eCCTV, case management and oversight of direct reports’ investigations.
- Support root-cause analysis through shrink diagnostics to ensure effective execution of AP training programs (such as assessments, trainings, etc)
- Support the planning, organization and implementation of external theft operational activities.
- Oversee the investigation of associate safety incidents and support the development of effective safety plans.
- Integrate Shrink prevention strategies with the business
- Communicate frequently and effectively with Asset Protection team to ensure consistency in the execution of Asset Protection goals and objectives. This includes conducting frequent market visits to gain insight and provide appropriate feedback.
- Assess the Regional AP Manager’s utilization of the physical security controls in assigned locations to prevent and improve shrink and ensure associate safety.
- Regularly review and evaluate team’s store assessments to ensure effective recommendations and actions are in place to address opportunities; leveraging the right tools and resources and linking to leadership behaviors and competencies to support results.
- Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Recommend appropriate disciplinary action for violation of company policies.
- Form strong partnerships, breakdown barriers, and ensure effective communication within their assigned region, across teams and functions. This includes active participation in team travel and meetings.
- Ensure strong relationships are created and maintained with Law Enforcement and Mall partners.

Minimum Salary: $114,300.00
Maximum Salary: $154,875.00
VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of retail Asset Protection experience; minimum two years of Supervisory experience with multi-store locations, preferably with a large-scale or specialty retailer
- Demonstrated success with managing and developing Asset Protection professionals
- Excellent leadership, time management, organization, written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge and technical expertise in internal and external shrink and AP systems and technology
- Proven ability to attract, select, train and develop associates
- Ability to integrate asset protection objectives with business and store operating model and objectives
- Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of relevant local, state and federal laws as they relate to Asset Protection
- 75% in-store/market visits, to include overnight travel
- The possession of, and ability to maintain a valid U.S. Driver’s License due to the travel requirements of the position
