Sr. Kids Designer

Our client, an apparel company, is looking for a Senior Kids Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities

• Manage design initiatives from initial concept through to final delivery.
• Develop and evolve seasonal assortments, including inspiration boards and trend presentations.
• Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and techniques to drive fresh, relevant ideas.
• Prepare and maintain detailed design specifications, ensuring seamless transition to production.
• Provide mentorship and direction to junior team members and interns.
• Partner with merchandising, sourcing, sales, and marketing teams to align creative direction with business goals.
• Uphold brand identity while encouraging innovation and forward-thinking design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fashion, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in apparel design.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creative and technical design capabilities.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Solid knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production methods.
• Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
