Sr. IT Project Manager - RPA

We’re looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives across our insurance operations. This role sits at the intersection of technology, process optimization, and business transformation — helping us streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance customer and employee experiences.

You’ll manage end‑to‑end RPA project delivery, partner with business and technical teams, and ensure automation solutions align with regulatory and operational requirements unique to the insurance industry.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead full lifecycle management of RPA projects from intake and scoping to deployment and post‑implementation support
  • Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams including business SMEs, developers, QA testers, and operations
  • Ensure projects meet scope, budget, and quality expectations


Business & Process Analysis

  • Partner with underwriting, claims, policy administration, finance, and customer service teams to identify automation opportunities
  • Facilitate process discovery sessions and document current‑state and future‑state workflows
  • Evaluate automation feasibility and prioritize use cases based on ROI, complexity, and business value


Technical Coordination

  • Work closely with RPA developers and architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Oversee solution design reviews, testing cycles, and deployment activities
  • Ensure adherence to automation standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements


Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain project documentation, risk logs, and audit‑ready artifacts
  • Support governance processes including change control, exception handling, and bot performance monitoring
  • Ensure automations comply with insurance regulations, data privacy requirements, and internal controls


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and risks to leadership and business partners
  • Manage expectations and build strong relationships across technical and operational teams
  • Provide training and adoption support for new automated workflows


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally within insurance or financial services
  • Hands‑on experience managing RPA initiatives (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations (claims, underwriting, policy servicing, billing, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and complex technology projects
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills
