We’re seeking a Senior EHS Engineer to play a key role in advancing site performance, strengthening compliance, and elevating safety culture across the organization.
The Role
Reporting to the EHSS Manager, this position will lead and support a wide range of environmental, health, and safety initiatives with a strong focus on both compliance and continuous improvement.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence strategy, partner with leadership, and drive programs that create lasting impact across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee environmental, health, and safety compliance across air, water, waste, and landfill operations, including permitting, reporting, and inspections
- Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap to enhance safety performance and culture
- Maintain and continuously improve EHSS programs, policies, and procedures
- Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained
- Partner with site leadership to identify risks, track performance metrics, and drive accountability
- Design and implement compliance strategies while staying ahead of evolving regulatory requirements
- Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory agencies and external stakeholders
- Analyze data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement
- Support training initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and awareness across EHSS topics
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field (advanced degree a plus)
- 7+ years of experience in EHSS within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
- Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and influence change across all levels of an organization
- Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management
- Background in environmental permitting, auditing, and regulatory compliance preferred
- Familiarity with programs such as air permitting (Title V/FESOP), wastewater (NPDES/POTW), and waste management (RCRA, landfill operations) is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
